Website: Sand Ridge Bed and Breakfast 2009 – Present
In 2009, I was approached by Connie Davidson, the owner of Sand Ridge Bed and Breakfast, to whom a mutual friend suggested my help to create her website. Connie wanted a website that reflected the charm of her house and the clean lines and modern colors within. She also wanted to be able to describe the place to her potential guests in both pictures and words.
Rebecca Steinberg photographed the interior of the house and some of the exterior features, while Connie and I wrote the content. We created a site that was both functional and beautiful for visitors and had great meaning for Connie.
As a direct result of the website, Sand Ridge B&B is booked during much of the main tourist season in Athens County and brings people from around the region and country. The B&B has drawn accolades from newspapers in Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati and all have remarked on the simplicity and ease-of-use of the website, especially how it makes them feel right at home before they arrive.
I recently finished the first major edit of the site since its creation in 2009, to redesign the headers and navigation bars and re-organize the Naturescape section. As much as I would like to remodel the entire site, budget concerns have so far prevented that from taking place. In the mean-time, I continue to update the website’s content and maintain the Facebook feed as needed.
